Camilo Fonseca is a business reporter based in Boston, currently working at The Boston Globe.
He previously covered international trade and the hospitality industry at The Seattle Times, as well as tech news and consumer affairs at Business Insider. He’s also worked at the Lexington Observer, reporting on immigration and biotech, as well as The Christian Science Monitor.
Camilo studied journalism at Emerson College in Boston, where he served as a news editor and managing editor for The Berkeley Beacon. There, he covered the 2020 presidential election and explored COVID-19's effect on campus life, local businesses, and politics. His first professional experience was as an express correspondent at The Boston Globe, reporting on breaking news, cultural events, and the police/fire beat.
Hailing from Tampa, Florida, Camilo is currently a senior journalism major at Emerson College with a minor in political science. He hopes to pursue a career in business reporting and foreign affairs writing.
